Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.)
The Sri Gobind Tricentenary Dental College, affiliated to the Pandit Bhagawat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak, Haryana, offers the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course. This degree is recognized by the Dental Council of India and the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The total seat strength is 100 students per year
  • Admission to the course:
The admission to the BDS course shall be made on the terms and conditions as prescribed by the Dental Council of India from time to time.
  • Eligibility:
    1. The person who attains the age of 17 years or more on 31st December of the year of admission.
    2. Must have passed Senior School Certificate examination (10+2) of Board of School Education, Haryana or an examination recognized as equivalent there to with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, taken together both at qualifying and competitive examination and must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually in the qualifying examination.
In the case of candidates belonging to scheduled castes/Scheduled tribes/Other Backward Classes the marks obtained be read as 40% instead of 50%.
  • Duration of the Course:
The undergraduate dental training programme leading to BDS degree shall be of 5 years with 240 teaching days in each academic year. During this period, the student shall be required to have engaged in full time study at a dental college recognized by the Dental Council of India. The period of 5 years of study shall be divided into 5 phases consisting of five professional examinations each after one academic year.

  • Second year
